Legionella Awareness Training

Having been in the water treatment industry for many years we've recently noticed an increase in the number of Care Homes in particular, who have expressed an interest in sending their nominated member of staff to us for specialist training on the dangers of the deadly legionella bacteria and how best to prevent it.

With a rising number of prosecutions for failing to meet guidelines, and some leading to huge fines and even the possibility of imprisonment, it is little wonder why the interest has risen and as such, we are responding to this by arranging some specialist training as asked.

We propose to hold regional sessions where delegates will be educated about the bacteria, the environment in which it will best thrive and how to avoid unnecessary risk.

Importants topics also covered will include:

* Risk Assessment - how to keep up to date and compliant

* Legislation - what is required for YOUR premises

* Maintenance - how to be effective without blowing the budget!

* Paperwork - making sure your processes are watertight and recordable

Delegates will also receive a pack with information to back-up the session as well as HSE documentation and an official Log-book in which to log your maintenance procedures.

The sessions will last for approximately 4 hours and will include a light lunch and refreshments.  The sessions will be of relevance to Care Home Managers, Facilities/Maintenance Managers or other persons responsible for Legionella compliance.  There will be a nominal charge of approximately £25 per delegate.
